Make Money with Wordpress Remix Theme Affiliate

// May 24th, 2009 // 2 Comments » // Blogging, Cool Websites, For Geeks, Premium Wordpress Themes, Wordpress Themes, Wp Themes, webmaster

I’m always looking for ways to make extra money online because lets face it there’s money to be made! Wether it be by freelancing my web design skills or affiliate marketing or selling stuff on Ebay.. it can be done. Or so I’ve been told. Right?

It’s taken my over a year to get half way to 100 bucks using Google adwords ads. Haha! Not a huge winner.

But.. In March I made something like $350 as an WP Remix Themes Affiliate . Shocking I know. My site was down most of April and half of May so I’ve only made 100 this month but I’m telling you that is a first for me.

I just wish I was WP Remix and not just their affiliate. Their theme is awesome so it’s not shocking that people are snatching them up.

I’ve made a few sales here and there selling other premium themes but nothing like this. So, if you have a design bog I recommend signing up as an affiliate and adding a banner to your site. You might make a few extra bucks.

Have you found anything online that’s brought you luck as far as making money with your site or otherwise? Share!! Please!

// February 17th, 2009 // 1 Comment » // Admin Tools, Blogging, Cool Links, Design, Design Resources, For Geeks, Geeks, I recommend, Magazine Theme, Useful, Wordpress, Wordpress Themes, Wp Themes, free, webdesign, webmaster

This is pretty damn cool..The Revolution team recently made their whole set of Premium Themes available for free download.  Then, they decided to remove the free tag and make them premium themes. Which means you can’t download them for free anymore.

Luckily, I found all the downloaded theme at millionclues.com (downloaded when they were freely available).

I almost feel guilty…but..according to millionclues.com they have confirmed with Brian Gardner that it is legal and kosher to use these themes.

So, Here I present you with the whole set of Revolution Two Premium Wordpress Themes.

All of them are available for Free Direct Download at millionclues.com.

Once again..Since these themes were downloaded from www.revolutiontwo.com when they were free to download.

These are legal copies!  So, you can save the bitch fest. :)

How to Customize your Feedburner Headline Animator

// February 16th, 2009 // No Comments » // Admin Tools, Blogging, Design, For Geeks, Geeks, I recommend, RSS Feeds, Tutorial, Useful, Wordpress, Wordpress Themes, free, web tools, webmaster, wordpress tutorials

A good way to promote your site is by using Feedburner for your RSS Feeds. One of their cooler features is their Headline Animator widget and if your anything like me and you love to design graphics then this can be a fun little project for you to add to your site.
For those of you who are not familiar with Feedburner..First you will have to register at Feedburner and burn your blog.
Once you’ve done that,  log into your account,  select your feed,  click on the “Publicize” tab and look for the Headline Animator service which is listed in the left-hand side bar.
Under “Theme” select “provide your own background” from the drop down list. Required (GIF only).

Create your graphic in Photoshop. I created a .gif that was 243px × 110px pixels and a 468×60px .gif.  (view them below)

Your Headline Animator will be the same size (height and width) as the background image. Play around with different shapes and sizes. Once you’ve uploaded the new graphic, feedburner allows you to drag and drop the animated text where it needs to be on the graphic and the length of the animated text box. You can also choose the text color of your font and the size. You don’t have a lot of control but you can play with it to make it look pretty cool if your creative. If you decide to make one..make sure to post your link here so we can all check out your creation.

If you have any questions or if you get stuck feel free to leave your questions here or check out Feedburner’s FAQ.

Dean Robinson has recently released a new version of Fluency Admin 2.0 plugin that could significantly empower you to post with WordPress. The first thing you notice as you install it is the navigation. Really nice and slick space saving menu saves your energy when jumping from one section to another. This plugin makes everything just one click away.

Also “hot keys” for quick access are introduced in this new version. You might find them useful once you get used to them. Oh, I almost forgot about the fixed position of the navigation. No need for scrolling anymore. That’s something I really like about Fluency Admin.
