The eBay plugin is very simple but effective. Once installed you input your EbayNetwork Campaign number into the settings, and how many ads you want to appear on each post.
Place the code <?php cybersebay(); ?> within the Wordpress loop and you are set.
The first time you use the plugin you will add a Custom Field to your post with the Key name, ebay. And use the value to hold the keyword for this post to import eBay ads. From here on out, whenever you write a post, you can select the custom field key, ebay from the pulldown list and add the keyword you wish to show listings for.
Below is an example from another site. The article is titled “Fun Stocking Stuffers” and the keyword for eBay is “Christmas Stocking Stuffers”
Click for full size screenshot
During my testing of the plugin I received a $27 click, and that is certainly the highest valued click I have ever received !
And it is ONLY $9.95 !!

WordPress has some pretty good functions built in to help you with SEO (Search Engine Optimization), however you might find you need some plugins to help you along the way. In order for any person to
make money blogging you need to advertise, promote
affiliate marketing, and generate interest in products that will make you money. Smart Ads is a great plugin that helps place advertisements on your blog without having to constantly input the html code. The Smart Ads Wordpress plugin will allow you to automatically place ads before and after your blog posts. There are additional options to remove ads for subscribers, showing ads on posts older then a certain amount of time, and to disable the top ad if the top of the post contains an image. One of the nicer features of the SmartAds Wordpress plug-in is the ability to create a “SmartAd” which is a custom ad that you can add to your blog.
The Feedburner Feedsmith plug-in automatically redirects to your Feedburner feed regardless of how various users access it. Taking a couple of minutes to setup a feedburner account allows you to combine this plug-in with the feedburner subscribe by email option. As you see on my blog (its the subscribe to my blog form). This means you’ll give subscribers multiple options of subscribing, whether by RSS feed, email, or ShareThis.
If you use the “more” tag in
your blog posts (meaning, you just show a short amount of
your blog posts on your home page with a “Continue Reading” or similar link leading the reader to the full post), then only the part of your post before the “more” tag (before the “Continue Reading” or similar link) is visible in your feed to subscribers. If you want your subscribers to see your full posts in their feed readers, then the Full Text Feed plug-in is for you.
With this plug-in, your full posts will show up to subscribers in their feed readers at all times.
This is a great plugin for people who want to maximize the ad space on their blogs. Using text files that you create, the plugin automatically rotates between the ads you specify to appear in a particular space on your blog.
This is a light-weight and easy to use plugin which allows you to add any text and/or HTML/CSS code to your posts and/or pages as prefix (top / beginning), middle and/or suffix (bottom /end). (That includes even any new or old posts and pages and even your feed)

Between regular blog themes and the increasing number of themes that turn WordPress into anything from a portfolio site to a shop, its use as a general purpose CMS has made it a staple of web design tutorials and galleries.
Craft Cart is a fresh flavoured retro theme for selling t-shirts and handmade items, designed to be a starting point for your online shop. This theme was created by Billion Studio

If Pinging to you is just one of those geek terms that you’ve come across but just brushed it off as more techno-speak. Then it’s important that you read this post..
Pinging is why blogs are more powerful than ordinary websites and why blogs are easily indexed in search engines while websites struggle to get indexed, Pinging is also why blogs attract more traffic than ordinary websites..this is all because Blogs have the ability to PING! and you can’t afford to overlook the ping process, no matter how geeky it sounds.
Ok, so What is Pinging and what does it do for my blog?
In geek speak:“In blogging, ping is an XML-RPC-based push mechanism by which a weblog notifies a server that its content has been updated. An XML-RPC signal is sent to one or more “ping servers,” which can then generate a list of blogs that have new material. Many blog authoring tools automatically ping one or more servers each time the blogger creates a new post or updates an old one.” – according to the Wikipedia article: ‘Ping (blogging)‘.
Similarly, aggregators also use results from ping servers to tell subscribers which items on their subscription lists have fresh material.
In less-geek speak: One word: traffic. WordPress automatically notifies popular ping services that you’ve updated your blog by sending a XML-RPCping each time you create or update a post. In turn, Ping Services process the ping and updates their proprietary indices with your update. Now people browsing sites like Technorati or Sphere can find your most recent posts! (Wordpress Codex)
Pinging is Super Fantastic but if your using Wordpress beware there are some major flaws in the way that Wordpress (by default) handles pinging that can get your blog banned from pinging services without you even knowing it…and causing you to loose traffic.
Write a post, PING, Great! Edit the post, PING, edit it again.. PING!! PING!! Not so great.
Multiple pinging can get you banned and if you’ve had your WordPress blog for some time then it’s highly possible that you’ve already been banned.
Do not fret my fearless warriors.. there is a WordPress plugin that fixes this problem ..
With this plugin you can list all the ping services you want to ping like usual but you can also see which posts have been pinged and when, limit the amount of times your site is pinged, when you edit an existing post, it won’t send an unnecessary ping to ping services and saves your blog from getting banned.
If you think you’ve already covered this issue..just so you know..these older plugins don’t work anymore:
Smart Update Pinger
Ping Fix
WP Cron Future Ping
If your not sure which Ping sites to list in your Wordpress read this post…
The fact is there’s just not a whole lot of photoblog WP themes out there..believe me, I’ve been on the prowl searching online so I can share them with you and so far here is the list of themes that passed my stringent geek test & All are 100% geek approved.
I also added 3 Wordpress plugins at the bottom of the post that were developed specifically for photo-bloggers.
Enjoy the themes and remember to leave a comment or better yet digg this post! :X

Check out this cool Flickr slideshow generator at FlickrSlidr
You might also want to download the wp plugin here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tylr-slidr/
because it works great if you just plan on embedding the slideshow code into a post and then never editing the post again but if you plan on going back and changing something for whatever reason the code will cause problems and in my test completely disappeared.. So the plugin allows you to insert the slideshow straight from the wp editor toolbar. Pretty cool.
- For those who are new to this plugin, Shantz WP Prefix Suffix is a light-weight and easy to use plugin which allows you to add any text, HTML/CSS/PHP/Javascript code to your posts and/or pages as prefix and/or suffix. (That includes even any new or old posts and pages and even your feed) Examples: your copyright message, advertisements (like adsense, etc), permalinks, your other site links, any other custom messages. This works very fine with ad plugins like adsense-manager etc,
Options also include the ability to enable/disable displaying the text/code on home page and excerpts. Also a small bug was fixed that displayed the code even if it was chosen not to.
The plugin’s primary purpose (so far) is to create category landing pages, which are static pages with links to all the postings in a given category. You can, however, use it to create pages with lists of posts in any category. You can even use the plugin in posts, but you’ll have to explicitly specify a category name/ID. For details and download..
Excerpt-Reloaded
This is probably one of the most useful plugins I use and really come with Wordpress pre-installed. I wasn’t satisfied with the fuction that the Wordpress developers provide. The problem I had with the_excerpt, is that it strips html. a great little plugin for Wordpress that allows me to format my excerpts all I like. It’s called The Excerpt Reloaded, and it let’s you set a ton of options like excerpt length, the name of your “read more” link, the allowed html in the excerpt and more. I even got it to allow my slideshow above. Here is the code I put in my index.php page in place of the default.

The Hottest Wordpress Designers Online….this is the topic.
Here you’ll find a list of the best and the brightest Wordpress designers who offer free themes. Their themes might just help you make your blog look a little bit niftier then the rest. Not “Just another Blog”…
These designers really know how to make use of nifty……
I recently discovered the designers at Freethemelayouts.com and was really impressed with the free themes that they offer. I mean really impressed. I haven’t seen any of their themes anywhere else so I’m assuming their pretty new.
Three tutorials by Wpelements.com and one plugin that can change a boring theme into a killer theme..Thanx Jason! You rule the school!
I’ve always had the hardest time finding cool graphic bullets online – that were not made before 1996.
There is a very small handful of websites that offer bullets and the ones that do offer bullets offer these huge ugly animated bullets.
So, if your trying to think of a cool website that could be popular.. that there be my suggestion.
I found one..websitebullets.com and even they make mention of the fact that they’re hard to find. If you do a search for bullets 7 out of the 10 results are for gun bullets and that’s the case even if you use “website bullets” as your search terms. So someone..save the net and make some cool bullets.
Another random tid bit..I made it to #1 for social network icon in Google..and I don’t even make social network icons. I only created a couple posts offering them with links to their designers. So, that might be another good idea for a website theme for someone.
I present you with Wordpress themes designed by yichi at Vikiworks.com. You’ll probably need to customize them a bit but the themes straight out of the box are beautiful. I recommend giving them a try. They are not all widget ready and you must install a few plugins for them to work correctly. Here are a all of the free themes designed by Yichi from Vikiworks.com.
