SexyBookmarks is a Wordpress plugin that inserts a (X)HTML compliant list-based menu of social bookmarking site icons in each post to allow users to easily submit your posts to some of the most popular social bookmarking networks automatically. The plugin allows for you to choose several different options like:
- Where to display the menu
- Whether or not to add rel="nofollow" to the links
- The target attribute (_blank or _self)

New Social Networking Icon Sets Galore!
Two cool new sites offering new social networking icon sets. It's always nice to see new sets and I'm always looking so if you know of one I have not posted please let me know or if you've designed one and you'd like to be featured - Let me know!
Both sites were designed using.. My Site My Way which is something new to me..what I found strange instead of them having their own domain names they use a subdomain - for example: icons.mysitemyway.com must be great for mysitemyway's search engine optimization! If I were the webmaster however at one of these sites I would definintly register my own domain name. I'd want my ranking, seo etc.. to go towards my site not my web hosts.

Here’s a handy little site that I think is useful to add to your bookmarks if you are a web designer, it is called Iconfinder. It does exactly what it says…. finds the icon of your choice.
So, if you like icons I’d recommend a visit!
The site is simply designed and straight to the point, add your search query, click and wait for the results. I think it’s very useful. All icons are licensed with either Creative Commons, GPL, or LGPL. Below is a screenshot for “home” icons.

When I started really getting into the whole online social thing it all began with Live Journal and a community I started called Dreamyicons. We held icon contests based on themes. Now the community is just members posting icons that they've created..no more contests. So you'll notice a lot of the icons have themes and you'll also notice a lot of adult themed icons.
